Katie Darby

Katie Darby joined the UMBC Sports Medicine staff in January, 2022. She will serve as the primary athletic trainer for the softball and volleyball programs.

Katie comes to UMBC from Jacksonville University, where she served as assistant athletic trainer since July, 2020. She primary worked with Jacksonville’s softball program.

She also worked with the football, softball and tennis programs at Georgia State University (2018-20) and the men’s basketball, football women’s soccer and volleyball teams at Georgia Southern University (2016-18).

Katie earned her B.S. degree in athletic training from Georgia Southern in 2018 and her M.S. in sport administration from Georgia State in 2020.
