2016: Started the first seven games of the season at libero...recorded a season-high 16 digs agaisnt Delaware State. She played in 22 matches and 76 sets… She recorded 153 digs on the season with a 2.01 digs per set percentage….

2015: Appeared in all 26 matches, playing a total of 91 sets, the most on the team... Led the team with 318 total digs, averaging 3.49 per set... Added 82 assists and 14 service aces playing mainly as the team's libero... Had a season best 23 digs against Binghamton in a 3-1 win on Oct. 11... Laid down three service aces against Hartford on the final weekend of the season... Recorded seven assists at New Hampshire on Oct. 16. 

Background: Earned the distinction of Best Libero in La Copa El Nuevo Dia Tournament this past fall… Was named team all-star and MVP… Named All-American as a libero.

Personal: Daughter of Francisco De Jesus Ortega… Undecided on a major, but has a career ambition of working in medicine… Chose UMBC over University of San Francisco, Syracuse, Coppin State and Hawaii.
