2009: Limited to nine matches of action while recovering from shoulder surgery… Recorded two digs each against Northeastern, Howard and Towson… Earned kills against Towson and Hartford… Named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Named the 2009-10 recipient of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council Award at UMBC’s varsity awards ceremony in May.
2008: Did not play due to injury.
2007: Saw action in 24 matches during her debut season, nine of which she started for a total of 59 games played… Recorded 13 kills, seven digs, and two aces in her first collegiate match against Providence on Sept. 7… Fell just shy of recording a double-double on two occasions during the season as she tallied 12 kills and nine digs against Towson and 14 kills and nine digs against Saint Francis (Pa.)… The 14 kills was a season-high and she also tallied her second-best hitting percentage of .289 that match, while her season-high of 19 digs came against Albany on Oct. 12…. Finished the season averaging 1.68 kills/gm, 2.42 digs/gm and 1.94 points/gm.
Background: A three-time MVP at Torrey Pines HS of Del Mar, Calif., in 2003, 2004, and 2006… Inducted into the San Diego Hall of Champions in 2006… Named to the 2006 Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions All-Tournament Team, 2006 Avocado League First-Team, 2006 All-California Interscholastic Federation First-Team, and 2006 San Diego All-Academic Team… Part of the 2005 Reno Volleyball Festival Champion, Vintage 17’s and a Union Tribune All-Academic Team selection in 2005… Was chosen to participate in the 2005 USA Girl’s Volleyball Development Camp… Named to Honor Roll all four years of high school… Also named to the Principal’s Honor Court in 2006.
