Biography

2016: Tallied a career-high of 26 kills against St. Francis Brooklyn and again against Providence…Finished with a career-high 14 digs against Stony Brook on 9/23...Named America East Player of the Week on Aug.30 and again on Sept.27...Named to Radford/Virginia Tech Invitational and Lion Invitational All-Tournament Teams. She played in 22 matches and 77 sets… She recorded a career high 274 kills, hitting at a .213 hitting percentage on the year… She recorded a career high 153 digs to go along with a career high on digs per set of 1.99….She received America East Player of the Week twice this season...

2015: Played in just ten matches during her second season with the Retrievers... Finished the year with 30 kills, seven aces, 30 digs and three blocks... Played in the first two matches before an injury kept her out for the middle portion of the year... Came back for the conference season, recording season bests in kills (9) and aces (6) against Hartford on Nov. 13. 

2014: Mirabella made a big splash in her first season in Baltimore... She appeared in 22 matches and played in 75 sets... Abbie recorded 100 kills, hitting at a .105 clip for the year... She had a career high 17 kills against Weber State at the Hawks Hullabaloo Tournament earlier in the year.... She also lead the league in service aces, averaging 0.43 per set (32 total).

Background: The 2013 Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) Player of the Year… Led St. Mark’s to the DIAA semifinals as a senior, recording 29 kills and 11 digs in the quarterfinals versus St. Elizabeth… Selected to the All-State First Team and Delaware Catholic Conference First Team three times (2011, 2012, and 2013)… Named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Phenom List in 2012… Then listed on the 2013 Under Armour All-American Watch List; the only player from Delaware mentioned… Helped St. Mark’s win the state championship in 2010 and 2011.

Personal: Daughter of Vince and Michele Mirabella… Has one older brother, Brooks… Her father played basketball at Cabrini College while her mother lettered in volleyball for the Cavaliers… Her brother played soccer at Chestnut Hill College… Plans to major in applied behavior analysis… Born June 7, 1996.
