On Golibart: Has the intensity, desire and willingness to lay it on the line for her team…a key to the Retrievers’ success on defense with her ability to win everything in the air…will be a team leader on and off the field as co-captain…slides to midfield this season after spending the last three years on the backline.
2004: Started all 18 games for the Retrievers…tied for fourth on the team in goals scored (3) and ranked fourth in points (7)…also had one assist on the season…made a penalty kick with 21:30 remaining in the game to give UMBC a 1-0 victory over Pittsburgh.
2003: Started all 16 games for the Retrievers…assisted on the game-winning goals against Howard and Rider.
2002: Saw action in 15 games for the Retrievers and started six…scored a goal against Mount St. Mary’s.
Background: Served as UMBC’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee secretary for 2004-05…was a Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention in 2000 and 2001...a member of the All-State Second Team (’00-’01) and the Montgomery Journal’s First Team (’00-’01)...received all-conference honors for three years…had three assists in the conference finals as a senior…her team won conference titles all four years at Good Counsel and was ranked No. 1 in the country…was a high school teammate of current Retriever Missy Moore…also lettered in basketball…a member of the National Honor Society…chose UMBC over Pittsburgh and UNC-Charlotte…daughter of Chip and Ann Golibart...has a younger sister, Keri, and a younger brother, Chas…her cousins, Ashly Rusk and Megan Eaton, played lacrosse at Mount St. Mary’s, with Rusk achieving All-America honors…born on Jan. 1, 1984...double-majoring in social work and psychology.
