AS A JUNIOR (2003-04): Worked her way into the starting lineup by the start of conference play, receiving her first career start against Stony Brook (1/7/04) in the AE league opener…played in a 23 minutes in the game, scoring four points and grabbing eight rebounds…scored a career-high 11 points three games later, going 5-of-6 (83.3 percent) from the floor at Northeastern (1/17/04) and hitting 1-of-1 free throw attempts…almost recorded her first double-double grabbing nine rebounds and scoring 10 points at Binghamton (1/28/04)…handed out a season-high four assists in that game…went 4-of-4 from the field at home against Northeastern (2/14/04), scoring 10 points in that game…took a season-high 10 field goal attempts against New Hampshire…logged her most minutes of the season against Binghamton (2/25/04) at home with 31 minutes…averaged 3.6 ppg on the year and 2.8 rpg…averaged 4.6 ppg in conference play.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2002-03): Missed the first 13 games of the season due to a stress fracture...saw action in 12 games and averaged 4.3 minutes per game...played a season-high 13 minutes and grabbed three rebounds in the victory against Fairleigh Dickinson (2/1)...corralled three rebounds at Wagner (2/22)...came up with two steals against Central Connecticut State (3/3).

AS A FRESHMAN (2001-02): Made 19 appearances, averaging 5.3 minutes per game...received a season-high 15 minutes of playing time at West Virginia (12/1/01)...scored her first four career points and added three rebounds in nine minutes of action at home against Fairleigh Dickinson (1/7/02)...grabbed a season-high four rebounds and blocked her first two career shots at Fairleigh Dickinson (1/24/02)...scored four points in 10 minutes of action in UMBC’s road victory at St. Francis (N.Y.) on February 21.

2000-01: Was granted a medical red-shirt after suffering a shoulder injury prior to the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Helped lead Western High School to four-consecutive state finals...was selected as Western’s Most Improved Player after her junior season...participated in the Parkway Classic (Washington D.C. All-Stars vs. the Baltimore All-Stars) as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born on December 19, 1982...daughter of Guy and Renee Matthews...majoring in Elementary Education and is working on a minor in Psychology...enjoys playing cards and listening to music...favorite professional sports team is the Washington Mystics.
