Biography

AS A SOPHOMORE (2019-20): 

  • Saw action in four games this season
  • Averaged 1.3 points and 0.5 rebounds on the year
  • Scored a season-high five points in the season opener against Gettysburg

AS A FRESHMAN (2018-19):

  • Played in 12 games all off the bench for the Retrievers during her first season
  • Scored at a 2.7 ppg clip while grabbing 1.1 rpg
  • She scored 32 points with 13 rebounds shooting 32 percent from the three-point line in 5.8 minutes per game
  • Had a season-best nine points against Notre Dame (Md.) on Nov. 16 going 4-10 from the floor

BACKGROUND:

  • Was named to Ideal Quintet in 2014 and 2016, helping her team win the Galician Cup and earn a spot in the Spanish Championship
  • Posted a career-best 30 points with seven assists and three steals last year in a game against Cortegada
  • Also competed in track and field. 

PERSONAL:

  • Daughter of Ana Maria Fernandez and Josè Pastor Ferreiros
  • Has one sibling, Paula
  • Her sister runs track internationally in Spain
  • Media and communication studies major
  • Chose UMBC over George Mason and UMass Lowell
