Biography
AS A GRADUATE STUDENT (2020-21):
2020-21 season was cut short due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Named to the America East All-Conference Third Team.
Started seven of UMBC’s eight games.
Averaged 27.6 minutes per game.
Shot 50.6 percent (40-79) from the floor and 70.6 percent (24-34) from the free-throw line, which ranked seventh in the conference.
Led the Retrievers with 13.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
Despite the Retrievers having to cut the season short, led the America East in rebounding and ranked third in scoring.
Finished the year ranked third in the nation in offensive rebounds per game (5.0), 53rd in field goal percentage, and 46th in rebounds per game.
Had a career day against Binghamton (Dec. 27), scoring 19 points after going 7-13 from the floor and 5-8 from the charity stripe; she also brought down 12 rebounds.
Recorded three double-doubles on the season.
Named #AEWBB Player of the Week for the week ending December 28.
PRIOR TO UMBC:
- Spent three years at UNC Asheville.
- Made 59 appearances and eight starts for the Bulldogs.
- Shot 51.3 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from the free-throw line over her career.
- Brought down 196 rebounds.
- Scored a career-high 12 points against Gardner-Webb as a junior.
- Had a career-high 11 rebounds against Presbyterian in the same season.
BACKGROUND:
- A native of Warri, in the Delta region of Nigeria.
- Comes from a family of 11 children: seven sisters and four brothers.
- Came to the United States to complete her final two years of high school at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tenn.
- At Hamilton Heights, Juliet was able to elevate her game where she climbed up the ESPN rankings and to the top of her class.
- Graduated salutatorian of her class.
