HIGH SCHOOL: Bodine High School’s all-time leading scorer among boys and girls… First player in school history to score more than 2,000 career points (2,069)… Averaged 21.1 points, 4.1 assists, 4.5 steals and 5.4 rebounds in her high school career… Selected to the All-State First Team as a senior and Second Team as a junior… Pennsylvania’s second-leading scorer and tops in Southeastern Pennsylvania in 2007… Averaged 29 points per game as a junior and 21 points per game as a senior… Runner-up for the 2008 Phoenix Award, which is given to the best girls’ basketball player in Philadelphia… A three-time First-Team All-Public League honoree… Scored a career-high 44 points in a game as a junior… Led the Ambassadors to a 71-28 four-year record, as well as the district championship and appearances in the state quarterfinals in 2007 and 2008… Also a soccer standout at Bodine, earning All-Conference accolades as a junior and senior.
PERSONAL: The oldest of three children to Kevin and Colleen Elum… Has a younger brother, Isaiah, and a younger sister, Janaiah… Chose UMBC over Mount St. Mary’s because “it is a great school, beautiful campus and a great community with great people”… Born July 19, 1990… A dentistry major.
