2023-24 (Junior)

  • Johnson scored 21 points on 8-of-14 shooting in his UMBC debut at Louisville (11/6/23)...Splashed 3-of-6 treys and also grabbed 4 boards along with 2 helpers.
  • Was in double-figures with 10 points versus Penn St. York (11/14/23).
  • Scored 10 points at Hampton (11/27/23)
  • Scored 11 points and handed out a team-high four assists at Coppin State (11/30/23)
  • Went for a season-high 24 points on 7-of-12 shooting against Lehigh (12/2/23). Also added a career-high 5 assists and 3 steals versus the Mountain Hawks. Drew a career-best 7 fouls and went a career-high 8-of-9 from the foul line.
  • Exploded for a career-high 31 points on 11-of-16 (6-of-9 treys) shooting against American.
  • Scored 16 points and tied his career-high with 8 boards against Bryant (1/6/24). Also drew a season-high five fouls.


PRIOR TO UMBC 

2022-23 (Sophomore, Chicago St.): Johnson drilled 57 treys and played in all 31 contests for the Cougars...He reached 20 points on three different occasions, including a career-high 29-point outburst versus Aurora...Played in 23 games with 10 starts...Started the first six games of the season before a foot injury forced him to miss the next nine games.

2021-22 (Freshman, Chicago St.): Did not score in the season opener (vs. St. Thomas) or in the first half of the team’s second game (vs. SIUE) but scored 17 second-half points in the Cougars second consecutive win...Scored in double figures eight times during the season with a season-high 24 points at Pacific ...At Pacific, he did not score in the first half then converted 5-of-9 three pointers and 8-of-13 shots overall during the second half to lead all scorers with 24 points...Led the team in scoring four times during the season and was the leading rebounder once... Had a season-high eight rebounds at Stephen F. Austin...Tied for second on the team (with Jahsean Corbett) for three pointers made with 31 while ranking third in attempts...Contributed five blocks and four steals

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Oldsmar Christian School and won back-to-back district championships ...Attended Cornerstone Charter as a freshman...Attended Lake Nona High School as a sophomore and junior...Attended Oldsmar Christian School as a senior...As a senior, averaged 20.0 ppg, 5.0 apg and 5.0 rpg...He was the leading scorer on the Oldsmar Christian national team as a senior...He was named MVP  of the Get Down Challenge...Earned First-Team All State honors...Played for Final Chapter/Florida Bayhawks club teams...He was the all-star game dunk contest winner.
