Biography

Career Summary/2013: Finished his collegiate career with 62 games played (one at Clemson) and 26 starts… Competed in 18 contests and started five in his senior campaign… Started in the backfield for an injured Marquez Fernandez in four September contests… Played all 90 minutes versus Central Connecticut and St. Francis Brooklyn… Came off the bench and played 27 minutes versus George Mason on Sept. 25, but made huge impact on the game… Scored on his lone shot of the season in the 41st minute versus the Patriots with a right-footed blast from the top of the box…Also started on “Senior Night” versus Stony Brook on Nov. 6 and played 62 minutes, his high for an America East game in 2013. 



2012: Saw action in 19 of 22 contests and earned seven starts and left fullback/outside midfield… Scored his first intercollegiate goal, adding an insurance marker from a nearly impossible angle on the left side in the 7-1 win over Hartford on Oct. 24… Played in both NCAA Tournament contests.

2011: Doubled his workload from his freshman season, competing in 16 games during the fall… Earned eight starts at right fullback… Got the starting nod for the first time at La Salle on Sept. 27 and recorded two of his five shots on the season in that contest… Went the distance (90 minutes) vs. the Explorers and proceeded to play for 602 consecutive minutes in a seven-game span.

2010: Competed in eight games and started six times as a marking fullback for the Retrievers… Made his debut for UMBC on Sept. 18 at Mount St. Mary’s… His first start occurred at UNH on Oct. 9… Played all 110 minutes in scoreless draw vs. the Wildcats… Also went from start to finish at Albany on Oct. 13 and at Penn State (99 mins.) on Oct. 20.

2009: Attended Clemson University and competed in one game for the Tigers in the fall.

Background: Majoring in chemical engineering… Played club for Freestate Elite, which was formally known as the Freestate Titans... Helped lead his club to the state cup semi-finals from 2004 to 2008 in which they won the championship in 2005 and 2008... Prepped at Eleanor Roosevelt High School where he played varsity soccer for three seasons... Captain of his team his senior year....Named to All-Region squad... Older sisters, Tynisha (West Virginia U. gymnastics) and Tiffany (Maryland cheerleading) were both varsity athletes on the collegiate level… Lists favorite professional team as Real Madrid and favorite movie as Transformers… Son of Gail and Neville Dennis… Born Aug. 31, 1991.
