2015: Made two appearances with one start for the Retrievers between the pipes... Played two minutes in relief at Loyola, making one save... Started against La Salle, playing all 90 minutes giving up one goal making two saves.

2014: Started the first nine contests for the Retrievers leading them to three wins... Made his collegiate debut and posted a three-save shutout over LIU-Brooklyn on Aug. 29... Excelled before over 7,000 fans at No. 7 Maryland’s Ludwig Field, turning aside six Terrapin efforts in the 0-0 double overtime draw... Selected to All-Tournament team of Hampton Inn BWI Classic. 

2013: Earned a letter, but reserve netminder did not see any game action in his first fall campaign at UMBC. 

Background: Owns a similar resumé to that of UMBC rising senior Phil Saunders as both goalkeepers earned high school honors as field players… Earned Second Team All-State and First Team All-County honors and as a midfielder at South Carroll… Had moved from the goal to midfield in the middle of his sophomore season and scored seven goals and added five assists in his junior campaign of 2011… An MPSSAA Scholar-Athlete, he was also named to the All-Conference squads in both 2011 and 2012… Lists best performance as the regional final game in 2012 vs. Liberty, when he scored the game-tying goal on a free kick and tallied an overtime game-winner to propel the Cavs to the victory… Competes for Potomac Academy, which is coached by former Retriever Marcus Gross… In 2011, he earned the Maryland U-16 starting goalkeeper nod for the Region I finalist squad… Considering a major in biology… Lists favorite professional side as Arsenal… Has one older (Alex, 20) and one younger (Matt, 16) brother… Son of Faith and Daniel Breno… Born Dec. 11, 1995.
