Biography

Accolades: (2012) Earned a place on the America East Fall Academic Honor Roll... (2014) Earned Dean's List (3.75 gpa) honors in the spring. 

2015: Appeared in four games for the Retrievers.

2014: Made season debut against Vermont.

2013: Made his UMBC debut in a reserve central defender role versus UNLV… Played 38 minutes against the Rebels. 

2012: Earned a letter, but did not compete in any regular season or post-season contests.

Background: Earned varsity letters as a freshman and a sophomore for Westwood and helped the squad to district and area titles… Started as a fullback and was an all-district honoree in his sophomore campaign… Starts for and captains the Lonestar Academy at the USSF level… His squad won the Disney Showcase in 2011… Earned Academic Excellence award in all four years of high school… Lists favorite professional team as Bayern Munich… Chose UMBC over several other Division I programs “because I felt comfortable on my visit, it was a good program for my major and it has an established soccer program”… Considering a major in environmental engineering… Enjoys drawing and snowboarding… Has two older sisters, Meagan and Melissa… His father, Jeff, who played football at Rice University, sadly passed away in the fall of 2013… Son of Pam and Jeff Schwarz… Born Oct. 13, 1993.
