Biography

2017: Had a breakout season for the Retrievers in 2017, starting and playing in all 18 games… Had four goals and one assist for nine points, with two of the goals coming as game winners… Opened the season with his first collegiate and game winning goal in a 1-0 win against Bryant… Scored twice in a 3-1 win against West Virginia, adding another goal against UMass Lowell in October.

2016: Played and started in 12 matches during his sophomore season on the Retriever back line.

2015: Played in and started every game for the Retrievers, adding one assist and five shots during the year... Assisted Gregg Hauck for the game winning goal in a 3-0 win against Stony Brook... Named to the America East All-Rookie Team.

Background:  A four-year varsity starter at Reservoir… In his senior campaign, earned First Team All-State honors and was selected to All-Metro squads by both The Baltimore Sun and The Washington Post… A 2014 All-State honoree and two-time First Team Howard County selection… The National Honor Society member earned both a state title (2012) and Maryland State Cup title during his prep tenure… Also lettered in lacrosse for the Gators… Interested in a career in engineering… Lists favorite pro team as Manchester United… Has two younger siblings… Son of Karen and Patrick Saunderson.
