Biography

Accolades: Named to America East All-Rookie Team in 2011... Selected to south squad of 2014 USILA North-South All-Star Classic and scored a goal in the contest.

 

2014: Saw the field in 13 of 15 games this season, starting one...Recorded a season- high three points and two goals (2-1-3) in a 15-6 win against Mercer on March 11…Contributed to the America East semifinal win against Binghamton by scoring a goal which helped the Retrievers get out to a 4-0 lead in the firstt period…Was fourth on the team with 3 man-up goals.

 

2013: Recorded his second career hat trick with three goals at Fairfield… Followed it up with a season-high two assist effort versus Johns Hopkins and added a three-point effort (2-1-3) in the victory over High Point… Both of his goals versus the Panthers occurred on man-up situations.  

 

2012: Tied for second on the squad with 16 goals… Also second in shots (64) and man-up goals (5)… Got off to a brilliant start, scoring twice in the opener vs. Robert Morris, then scoring a personal-best five times at Rutgers on Feb. 26… It was one of three five-goal games for the Retrievers in 2012… Also scored two goals in games vs. Maryland (March 6), Albany (April 21) and Albany (tournament game, May 3)… Produced his second career two-assist effort vs. Hartford on March 31.

2011: Competed in all 13 games and earned six starts at midfield… Tied for the team lead with three extra-man goals… Scored his first collegiate point, an assist vs. Rutgers on Feb. 26 and followed up with two goals at North Carolina on March 5… Posted a season-high three-point effort (1g, 2a) at Stony Brook on April 1… Added two goals, including the eighth score of the game in UMBC’s 8-6 victory over Binghamton on April 9.

Background: Majoring in sociology... Earned four varsity letters in both lacrosse and football, where he was an All-MIAA quarterback for the Crusaders… Part of the MIAA "A" Conference champions from 2010… Sister Meagan completed a four-year tenure for UMBC’s women’s lacrosse team in 2011… Has a younger brother, Ben… Son of Susan and Mike Linkous… Born July 7, 1991.
