Biography

2014: Versatile midfielder appeared in a career-best 13 contests… Recorded three ground balls and added a caused turnover, primarily in a defensive role. 

2013: Competed in seven games in his junior campaign… Recorded the assist on Ethan Murphy’s game-winning goal in the Retrievers’ victory versus Mount St. Mary’s. 

2012: Competed in eight games in his initial campaign… Contributed more as the season progressed…. Saw action in eight of UMBC’s final nine games, primarily as a defensive middie… Posted his first collegiate point, an assist, in the 17-16 overtime win over Albany.

Background: Served as captain of both Flaming Arrows’ lacrosse and football squads… Ended the 2011 regular season with a six-goal, three-assist effort vs. Northport… Part of the squad which knocked off national No. 1-ranked West Islip in 2010… Earned All-County and All-Division honors in football in the fall of 2009… A member of the National Honor Society... A member of the Spanish and Best Buddies Club at Sachem North… Majoring in financial economics… Enjoys bagels and lists favorite book as Friday Night Lights… Has two older sisters, Kelly and Kathleen… Son of Laurie and John Lang… Born May 21, 1993.
