Biography

Accolades: (2019)  An America East First Team selection… Retrievers’ first attackman to earn that honor since Matt Gregoire in 2014… Also selected to America East All-Tournament team. (2018) Named to the America East Winter-Spring Honor Roll (2017) Named to America East All-Rookie Team.

 

2020: Named as one of the team’s captains, along with Jason Brewster and Nick Griffin… Extended his point-scoring streak to 27 by tallying a minimum of two points in each of the five games… Currently ranked 29th in the nation with points in those 27 consecutive games entering the spring of 2021… Notched his 12th career three-goal game with his hat-trick in the 13-6 victory over Sacred Heart… Tied his career high by scoring six goals (13th hat-trick) in the Retrievers’ 19-13 victory over High Point… Named America East Offensive Player of the Week… Became the 35th Retriever to reach the 100-point plateau (85-17-102) with his seven-point effort versus the Panthers… His 85 goals are tied for 19th on the school’s all-time list and his 102 points are tied for 33rd...  Earned the team’s GRIT award for the core value of “Integrity.”

 

2019: Finished 21st in the nation and led the America East Conference in goals per game (2.88)… His 46 scores tied David Quattrini (’80) for third-most in a single season in school history… Also ranked in the top five in the league in points per game (third, 3.38) and shots per game (6.94)… Posted a career-best shooting percentage of 41.4 percent (46 goals/111 shots)… Has scored in 22 consecutive games, tied for the 23rd longest streak entering the 2020 season… Recorded multiple points in all but two games and eight hat tricks…Tied for second in America East with 2.83 goals per AE game… Scored three goals versus Navy and Mount St. Mary’s in the first two weeks of the season… Tallied four goals to open AE play versus Vermont and added five two weeks later at home against Lafayette… Followed that game with 3 goals and career highs of 4 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers versus Binghamton… Recorded a career-high 7-point effort (6g, 1a) versus UML… Scored six times on nine shots, including a pair of man-up goals… With UMBC trailing, 10-8, late in the third quarter of the America East title contest, he scored back-to-back goals to knot the game at 10-all…In front of a national broadcast audience, he capped the season by scoring six times on only eight shots in NCAA Round of 16 contest at No. 1 Penn State.  

 

2018: Started the first seven games before a hand injury ended his season… Scored goals in his final six appearances… Recorded a three-goal effort at Mount St. Mary’s and scored twice against Johns Hopkins… Averaged 1.28 goals per game in his first two seasons.

 

2017: Tied for the UMBC team lead with 18 goals in his initial campaign… Led UMBC with five man-up goals, which ranked him No. 3 in America East and tied for 39th nationally… Started all 14 games on attack… Also led the team with a shooting percentage of 38.3 and a shots-on-goal mark of 72.3 percent… UMBC was 5-0 when he scored multiple goals… After scoring single goals at UNC and Hopkins, he tallied twice in the Retrievers’ initial victory over Mercer (Feb. 25)… Posted his first break-out game by tallying all of UMBC’s three second-half goals in a 6-4 victory at Marist (March 11)…Scored four of the six goals and earned his first AE Rookie of the Week honors on March 13… Added two goals each in league victories over Stony Brook (March 18) and Binghamton (April 15)…His score with 3:13 remaining capped a UMBC rally and was the game-winning goal in the 7-6 victory over the Bearcats… Produced a four-goal, one-assist effort for a season-high five-point afternoon in the Senior Day 10-7 triumph over Vermont… Added a goal and an assist in America East semi-final setback versus Binghamton. 

 

Background: The attackman amassed many awards during his career at Mountain Lakes High School… In 2015, earned Second Team All-County and Second Team All- New Jersey Athletic Conference honors... In his 2016 season campaign, tabbed First Team All-State, First Team All Gibbs Division, First Team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference, a U.S. Lacrosse All-American and a Gil Gibbs All-Star selection… Served as 2016 team captain for the Lakers…Amassed 180 career varsity points… List his greatest thrill in sports when he scored the game-tying and game-winning goals against rival, Ridgewood in his freshman campaign… Learning how to play the piano… Considering attending dental school… Has two older siblings, Bobby and Megan… Both were multi-sport varsity letter achievers in high school…Lists favorite professional sports team as the NFL’s New York Jets… Son of Dorothy and Bob Frawley.
