Accolades: A member of the 2009-10 America East Winter/Spring Honor Roll... Named team’s Unsung Hero in 2011… Selected to the 2011 America East All-Academic team…Named to the Winter-Spring 2011 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.  

 
 
 
 

2011: Competed in all 13 games and started three, playing through injuries throughout much of the season… Led the Retrievers in ground ball with 41 and was tied for second with seven caused turnovers… Recorded six goals and two helpers… Debuted with a monster performance at Presbyterian- scored his first collegiate goal, caused three turnovers, and scooped up a team season-best 11 ground balls… Recorded five ground balls in back-to-back games vs. heavyweights North Carolina (March 5) and Johns Hopkins (March 12)… Posted his first multiple-point game (1g, 1a) in the win over Quinnipiac on March 26 and repeated that effort on April 1 at Stony Brook… Scored a single goal in four consecutive games, including goals on his only shots of the game vs. Towson (April 6) and Binghamton (April 9).

 
 
 

 

 

2010: Competed in six games in his initial campaign at UMBC… Saw action as a defensive midfielder… Attempted a pair of draws and collected three ground balls.

 

 

Background: Majoing in financial economics... Scored 11 goals, added 14 assists, corralled a team-best 108 ground balls and won 63 percent of his draws for St. Mary’s in 2009… Selected to the All-County First-Team and All-MIAA team in 2009... The Saints’ Most Valuable Player and its team captain in 2009… Excelled in a game vs. powerful Gilman as a senior, scoring a pair of goals, adding an assist and winning 13 of 15 draws… Scored seven goals and added 14 assists and was named to the All-County team as a junior… Named the team’s Unsung Hero in 2008… An All-County tailback who rushed for over 1,200 yards and also captained the Saints’ state champion football team in 2008… Enjoys golf and racquetball… His mother, Tina, played basketball and lacrosse at Notre Dame…Has two brothers, Nick, 22, and Nathan, 16… Son of Tina and George Lewnes… Born Nov. 18, 1990.
