Accolades: (2017) Named to America East Second Team... Earned America East Winter/Spring Honor Roll recognition... Selected as a team captain. (2014)  Named to the America East All-Rookie Team… Named AE Rookie of the Week on Feb. 24. 

 

Moved into a tie for 14th place, alongside three-year teammate Nate Lewnes, on UMBC’s all-time scoring list with 145 points… Recorded the fifth-most assists, 87, in school history.


2017: Led the team with 39 points, scoring a career-best 18 goals… Started 13 of 14 games and finished his career by starting 53 times in 56 games played… Scored multiple points in nine games, finishing with 40 in his career… Opened the campaign by notching his fourth career hat-trick and adding a helper at UNC… Posted career best in points (8) and assists (6) in UMBC’s 15-4 victory over Mercer on Feb. 25… Those totals were season highs for UMBC… Opened America East play with a 2-goal, 2-assist effort in March 18 win at Stony Brook… Contributed on six of UMBC’s 10 goals as he tallied 3-3-6 in the come-from-behind triumph over UMass Lowell on April 1… On Senior Day, recorded a 2-goal, 3-assist afternoon. 


 

2016: Ranked tenth nationally and second in America East in assists per contest with 2.14… Finished ninth in America East with 3.21 points per contest… Tied career-best with 15 goals and set personal mark with 30 helpers… Needs just five more assists to move into all-time UMBC top ten… Became 11th Retriever to post 30 assists in a single season… Hit the scoreboard in 13 of 14 games and posted multiple points in all 13… After scoring twice in each of the first four games, opened America East play with a 3-goal, 1-assist effort at Binghamton… Followed up with four helpers versus Stony Brook… Posted back-to-back five-point efforts at Mount St. Mary’s (1-4-5) and at Vermont (3-2-5)… Dished out four assists on UMBC’s seven goals versus Penn… Tallied the game-winning goal with an overtime winner at UMass Lowell… Closed the campaign with a goal and four assists versus Albany... Produced four games with four helpers and three with five points… Moved into UMBC’s 100-point club in 30th place with 106 points (40-66-106)… Tied for the ninth-fastest (41 games) to reach the 100-point plateau… His 66 helpers are 13th most in school history and the 30 recorded in 2016 are tied for the 8th most in a single season in school history.

 

2015: The team’s fourth-leading scorer with 10 goals and 10 helpers… After a slow start, scored two goals apiece in games versus Richmond and Towson… Finished the season in fine fashion, scoring 13 points in his final five games, highlighted by a two-goal, three-assist effort in the victory over UML… Also scored twice versus Lafayette and Hartford. 

 

2014: Collected 14 helpers in five America East contests, good for second place in the conference… Finished fifth overall in the conference and 24th nationally with 1.73 assists per outing… Recorded 41 points, the eighth-highest figure by a freshman (fifth place at the Division I level) in school history and the most since Cayle Ratcliffe posted 49 in 2007… His 26 assists is now the second-most by a Retriever freshman, just three behind Chris Turner’s 29 helpers in 1997… Struck for a hat trick, including the game-winning goal, in his home debut versus Monmouth and hit the scoresheet in the final 14 games of the campaign… Produced multiple points 11 times… Posted his first five-point game (2-3-5) and scored his lone man-up goal of the season in the triumph over Mount St. Mary’s… Recorded a season-best four assists in back-to-back home contests versus Hartford and Albany… Gave the Retriever effort a huge boost in the AE semifinal victory over Binghamton with season highs in goals (4) and total points (6).  

 

Background: A two-time high school All-American from western New York… Amassed over 100 goals and 80 assists in his junior and senior seasons at Hamburg… Part of Rochester squad which represented USA in Brogden Cup victory over Canada early in both 2012 and 2013...Favorite movie is Good Fellas… Started playing lacrosse at the age of five… Brother James joined him at UMBC in the fall of 2013, becoming the 31st "brother act" in UMBC's short lacrosse history… Son of Kevin and Ann Maxwell.
