Biography

2013: Saw the most extensive action in his career as a senior, participating in 14 of 15 contests… Collected four ground balls and provided outstanding leadership to younger short-stick defensive midfielder.  

 

 
 

2012: Competed in ten games during the campaign… Often utilized in clearing situations… Attempted a pair of shots and put one on goal.

 
 
 

2011: Competed in 12 of 13 games… Was utilized as both a defensive and offensive midfielder… Attempted a pair of shots in the regular season finale at Hartford on April 30.

 
 
 

2010Saw action in one contest, UMBC’s America East victory over Binghamton on April 10.

 BackgroundMajoring in new media and communication studies... Received the Jack Williams Cup for Sportsmanship in his senior year with the Lakers… The son of UMBC head coach Don Zimmerman, he also earned the captain’s award for varsity lacrosse… Lettered in football for Boys’ Latin and earned academic honor roll recognition during the 2008-09 academic year… Considering a career in journalism and/or broadcasting… Has an older sister, Emily… Son of Dorothy and Don Zimmerman… Born Feb. 27, 1990.
