ACCOLADES:
  • Named to 2022 America East Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll
BACKGROUND:
  • Captained the 2021 Hawks’ squad and earned All-County honors
  • Led the Hawks to a 3A East Region II title in 2021, scoring 23 goals and adding seven assists
  • A four-year varsity starter
  • Scored a school-record eight goals in a 2019 playoff win over Oakland Mills and added six scores in a 2021 playoff win over Atholton
  • Coached by former Retriever Keith Gonsouland
  • A 10-year member of the Retriever Aquatic Club who competed in eight Maryland State Championship meets
  • A member of the Principal’s Honor Roll (4.00 gpa), an AP Scholar, and a member of the National Art Honor Society
  • Lists favorite book as Life of Pi
  • Has an older sister, Camille
  • Son of Nina and Tony Burns, who played lacrosse at St. Mary’s (Md.) College
