 2010: UMBC’s primary face-off specialist during the campaign… Coming off ACL surgery in the spring of 2009, he won nine of 23 draws vs. Delaware, including two of three in overtime on Feb. 20… Captured 10 of 13 draws and gathered a game-high and career-best seven ground balls in the 6-5 win at Rutgers on Feb. 28… Garnered a career-high 13 face offs (13-13) at Johns Hopkins on March 9 and won 11 of 16 at Binghatmon on April 10… Won 12 draws (of all 21) in America East semifinal contest vs. Albany… Became the 21st player in school history to win 100 or more (104) draws in a season.

2009: Served as UMBC’s primary face-off specialist prior to his injury… Won a career-best nine of 17 draws on Feb. 21 in the home-opening victory over Rutgers… Won eight face-offs on Feb. 28 vs. Colgate... Suffered a torn ACL after the Johns Hopkins game.

2008: Competed in five games in his sophomore season… Provided outstanding depth at the defensive midfield position.

2007: Saw action as a defensive midfielder in nine games… Collected nine ground balls… Posted his first collegiate point, an assist, in the win over Hartford.

Background: Majoring in history and political science... A 2006 USILA High School All-American… The 2006 Dulles District Player of the Year and a Washington Post All-Metro selection… A three-time First-Team All-Dulles District and All-Northern Region midfielder… Also lettered in football and was a First-Team All-National District honoree as a senior… Selected UMBC "because I like the guys on the team, the coaches and Baltimore"… Father, Jay, played on the 1980 UMBC national championship before transferring and competing at Maryland… Would like to coach lacrosse… Has three younger sisters, Meghan, 21, Jessica, 20 and Shannon 18… Jessica plays women’s lacrosse at UMBC...
