Biography

Accolades:  (2020) Tabbed to America East All-Academic Team… Completed the final semester at UMBC with the highest grade-point average of any Retriever male senior student-athlete in UMBC's College of Humanities and Social Sciences. (2019) Selected to the America East Winter-Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the UMBC President's List (4.00 grade-point avearge)... (2018) Named to the America East Winter-Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll (2017) Tabbed to America East Winter/Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

 

2020: Competed in all five games… Won a team-high three face-offs and added a pair of ground balls in the opener versus Georgetown… Played in all 34 games over his final three seasons… Earned the team’s GRIT award for the core value of “Respect.”

 

2019: Competed in all 16 games… Started five times at close defense, including the NCAA First Round game for an injured Colin Kasner… Saw most of his action as LSDM… Doubled his previous career high by coming up with 18 ground balls… Produced an outstanding effort in America East semi-finals at Stony Brook… Came up with a career-best 4 ground balls and won 2-of-3 draws in a win over the No. 1 Seawolves.  

 

2018: Versatile midfielder who competed in all 13 games as a sophomore… Competed as a defensive middie and face-off specialist… Recorded two ground balls in games at Navy and versus Stony Brook… Won all four draws he attempted versus the Seawolves… Captured 2-of-3 versus Hartford.

 

2017: Saw action in three games…Debuted at Hopkins on Feb. 11 and also appeared versus Mercer (Feb. 25) and UMass Lowell (April 1). 

 

Background: Earned First Team All-County honors as a senior at River Hill… Lists his best performance as his junior year when he scored three goals and added two assists as the Hawks won the regional championship over Mount Hebron… Selected UMBC based on its very strong academics and location… Hopes to pursue a degree in financial economics… A member of the National Honor Society and an FBLA state champion in entrepreneurship… Has a younger brother, Derek, who also aspires to play college lacrosse… Enjoys hiking and swimming and is a fan of The Hunger Games … Son of Julie and Steven Isaac.
