Accolades: 

  • Earned All-Academic Team honors for the third consecutive year (2021)
  • Selected at UMBC’s Matt Skalsky Male Outstanding Scholar-Athlete at the 2021 Grittys
  • Named to the 2020 America East All-Academic Team for the second consecutive year
  • Earned his mechanical engineering undergraduate degree by posting the highest grade-point average (3.86) of any Retriever male student-athlete in UMBC’s College of Engineering and Information Technology
  • Pursuing M.S. degree in that same discipline
  • Selected to the 2019 America East All-Academic Team
  • Tabbed to the 20019 America East Winter-Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll
  • Named to the 2018 America East Winter-Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll
  • Earned UMBC President’s List honors in the 2018 spring semester (4.00 grade-point average)
  • Tabbed to 2017 America East Winter/Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

 

2021:

  • Finished his career with 51 goals and 60 total points in 42 games played
  • Scored on a career-best 48 percent (12-of-25) of his shots
  • Started six times in eight appearances in his final campaign
  • Recorded two games with three goals or more, giving him seven for his career
  • Led UMBC with four goals in the 13-12 4OT win over Stony Brook on March 6
  • Scored three third-quarter goals in that game, helping turn an 8-5 deficit into a 10-9 lead after 45 minutes
  • His final career “hat-trick” occurred with a trio of goals versus UML on Senior Day
  • Also produced three points (1-2-3) at Stony Brook on April 24

 

2020: 

  • Opened the season with a two-goal effort versus nationally-ranked Georgetown
  • Collected three ground balls in wins over Mount St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart
  • Added two assists in the season finale, a 19-13 victory over High Point 

 

2019:

  • Produced a breakthrough season, scoring 33 goals and converting on 78.3 shots on goal and 47.8 shots overall
  • Recorded his first career hat-trick with three goals at Richmond on Feb. 19
  • Two games later, he tallied five times in an overtime loss versus Brown
  • Also produced regular season three-goal efforts versus Lafayette and Stony Brook
  • Tallied four goals apiece in America East Tournament wins over Stony Brook and Vermont
  • Scored twice in the fourth quarter versus the Catamounts to give the Retrievers a pair of one-goal leads
  • Also scored two goals apiece in NCAA Tournament contests at Marist and Penn State.

  

2018:

  • Competed in a pair of games, seeing action versus Navy and Towson.

 

2017:

  • Saw action in 12 of 14 games and earned one start on the attack
  • Recorded his first collegiate point in his debut, dishing out an assist at Hopkins on Feb. 11
  • Scored his first goal versus Mercer on Feb. 25 and added a score a week later versus Towson
  • Took two shots, both on goal, in each of those outings
  • Started for an ailing Max Maxwell on April 15 versus Binghamton.

 

Background: Attended Central Memorial High School in Calgary… Tallied 78 points (36 goals, 42 assists) to lead his Junior A box lacrosse team in points during the 2015 season… Amassed 107 points (59 goals, 48 assists) during the 2016 Junior A season… Lists his best accomplishment in a bronze medal game at nationals where he scored three goals in Team Alberta’s victory to win its first medal… Would like to pursue a masters’ degree in engineering or business administration … Has two older brothers, Brady and Bryce… Favorite food is lasagna and favorite musical artist is Led Zeppelin… Son of Debra and Brian McIntyre.
