Accolades: (2017) Earned America East Winter/Spring Honor Roll recognition

 

2017: Started his first campaign at UMBC on the opening day starting midfield unit… Competed in the first six games, but injuries halted his season six games in, after the March 11 contest at Marist… Scored a goal in his debut at UNC and added a goal in the 15-4 win over Mercer on Feb. 25.   

 

Background: Highly decorated junior college transfer from Howard Community College… Named 2016 JUCO Preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse… Earned Second Team All-American honors as a midfielder, along with First Team All-Regional and First Team All-JUCO accolades… Lists his team’s best accomplishment as getting an at-large bid for the national tournament… A First Team All-County honoree and Team MVP at Reservoir… Also played football and was named Second Team All-County at tight end… Aspires to be a sports psychologist or strength coach... Older and younger brothers, Zack and Logan… both played lacrosse in high school and Logan is competing at Howard Community College… Lists favorite musical artist as AC/DC and favorite movie as Good Will Hunting… Son of Kathryn and Steward Mitchell.
