Biography

  • Huan was recognized as a premier international prospect, earning a selection for the prestigious Joe Tsai Basketball Scholarship Program, which helps top Chinese athletes transition to elite U.S. high school and college programs. 
  • Steve has a twin brother, Sinan Huan, a fellow 7-foot center who plays for Purdue.
  • The brothers previously starred together for the Chinese National Team in the FIBA U19 World Cup. 
  •  Ahead of joining the Retrievers this summer, Huan spent time in Italy competing at the prestigious Adidas Eurocamp, refining his game against some of the top young professionals in Europe.
