Accolades: Selected as a team co-captain for the 2013-14 campaign. 

2013-14:  Did not dress for the first four games of the season (injury)... Played 18 minutes in his season debut vs. Loyola, scoring nine points... Made his first start of the season at Towson on Nov. 26... Scored  13 points, one shy of personal high, in victory over UMES on Dec. 2... All 13 points occurred in the second half and tied career best with three steals... Hit 4/4 FT in final 27 seconds to seal the win... Made all three 3-pt. field goal attempts in games at Lehigh and Coppin State... Scored in double figures in back-to-back games for the first time in his career... Made a career season-best 12 treys through his first 12 appearances in 2013-14... Recorded career assist No. 100 vs. Maine on Jan. 11... Recorded a then-career high in treys (4) in the Jan. 29 victory at Binghamton... Made the start in that contest and played a season-high 35 minutes... Reached a single-season career high in scoring, eclipsing the 100-point mark for the first time... Tallied 16 points (3-for-3 from three-point range) versus UNH on Feb. 5... Scored 16 more, including the game-winning tip-in with 2.4 seconds remaining in the 71-69 victory over Albany on Feb. 12... Scored in double figures in five straight games for the first time in his career... Made 14-of-24 attempts (58.3%) from beyond the arc in that span... Set a career high with an 18-point effort, as he hit 4-of-7 shots (tying career high) from behind the arc in his final appearance in the black and gold versus Albany in the America East quarterfinals…. Finished third in America East in 3-point field goal percentage at 43.6.     

 

2012-13: Saw his first action of the season early in the game vs. Eastern on Nov. 12, but suffered ankle injury and did not return... Did not dress for eight consecutive games... Did dress vs. Coppin State on Dec. 12, but did not appear in the game and was back in street clothes at DePaul on Dec. 22... Played 14 minutes in league opener at Albany... Earned his first start of the season on Jan. 9 (first overall since Jan. 5, 2012 vs. Albany) vs. UNH and piloted UMBC to the victory... Collected four assists and just one turnover in a 31-minute effort... Started the final 16 contests of the campaign… Posted season highs in rebounds (5), free throws made (3), and 3-pt. field goals (2), in the victory over Hartford on Jan. 16... Followed up with season highs in scoring (11), field goals made (4), assists (6) and minutes played (37) vs. Stony Brook on Jan. 23... Named UMBC’s America East Player of the Game... The minutes played was a career-high and the assists tied a career-best... Recorded one or zero turnovers in seven of his last 11 regular season starts (285 minutes, 25.9 per game)... Collected a career-high seven assists vs. Binghamton in the regular season finale on March 3... Ranked tenth in America East in assists (2.7) per game during league play… Earned a scholarship for his senior season.

 

2011-12: Competed in 24 games and started 11 after earning a spot on the team as a walk-on… Played 12 minutes in his UMBC debut in the season opener vs. Penn... Pressed into extra service and played 21 minutes vs. Loyola on Nov. 17... Earned his first start at VMI and hit a key three-point play to tie the score (for the final time) at 73-all with 3:33 remaining... In his second start, posted a 14-point, 8-rebound, 3-assist effort at Central Conn. on Nov. 22... The 14 points and eight caroms were a season-high… Posted season bests in assists (6) vs. Morgan State on Dec. 14... Played team-high 35 minutes and recorded 10 points (tied team-high honors), four assists and season-best three steals at Indiana on Dec. 22... Competed in the first 20 games of the season, but did not see action at Albany on Feb. 1.

 

Background: Competed at Wallace State, a junior college in Hanceville, Alabama in 2010-11… Averaged 9.0 points and 5.0 assists per game for the Lions… Coached by former Retriever assistant Pat Clatchey at Mount St. Joseph… Earned the Coaches’ Award as a senior, averaging 13.0 points and 5.0 assists per contest… The recipient of the Baltimore Catholic League Tournament Sportsmanship Award… Scored 15 points in the BCL title game vs. St. Frances… A key member of the Gaels’ 30-win campaign and BCL/MIAA champions in 2007-08… Also lettered in football for the Gaels… Earned Dean’s List honors last year at Wallace State… Completing degree in information systems… Lists favorite professional team as the Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA)… Enjoys bowling and playing the bass guitar… Has two younger siblings, Brentt, (age 20), and Kelsey (18)… Son of Synora and Quentin Jones, Sr. … Born Sept. 22, 1990.
