2023-24 (SOPHOMORE)

  • Erupted for a game and career best 28 points on 11-of-20 shooting at Louisville (11/6/23). The 28 points were the most scored by a Retriever on opening night since Nov. 9, 2012 (Ryan Cook, 28 pts at UPenn).
  • Paced the Retrievers with 23 points (9-for-18 fga), including 19 in the 2nd half versus Marist (11/11/23). 
  • Named the America East Player of the Week on Nov. 13, 2023 for the first time in his career.
  • Dished a career high 7 assists against Sacred Heart (11/17/23)
  • Paced UMBC with 7 boards at Maryland (11/21/23)
  • Scored 16 of his 18 points in the second half at William & Mary (11/25/23).
  • Scored 15 of his team-high 17 points and tied for the team-lead with 8 boards at Hampton (11/27/23).
  • Paced UMBC with 18 points and 5 rebounds at Coppin State.
  • Led UMBC with 25 points (10-for-16 fg) and grabbed 8 boards versus Lehigh (12/2/23).
  • Recorded a career-high steals and scored a team-high 16 points at Morgan State (12/6/23)
  • Buried a career-high 5 treys on six attempts at Iowa and finished with a a team-high 23 points.
  • Posted his first career double-double with 22 pts/11 rebounds versus Bryant (1/6/24).
  • Recorded his second double-double of the season at UMass Lowell (23 pts, 10 reb).
  • Paced UMBC with 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting in the win against Maine (1/18/24)
  • Pulled down a career-high 13 caroms versus UNH (1/20/24) and added 15 points for his third double-double of season. 
  • Poured in a career-best 31 points on 13-of-20 shooting at Bryant (2/1/24) and added a game-high 12 boards for his fourth double-double.
  • Recorded his fifth double-double with 29 points and 12 boards at UAlbany (2/3/24)
  • Led UMBC with 28 points and nine rebounds versus UMass Lowell (2/8/24)
  • Came up with his 6th double-double of the season at Binghamton with 22 points and 12 boards.


2022-23 (FRESHMAN): Named to the America East All-Rookie Team in his initial season in Baltimore...

  • Missed the first 11 games of the season recovering from an injury that he sustained prior to arriving at UMBC.
  • Averaged 7.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 22 appearances...
  • Shot .476 overall and .354 from behind the arc...
  • Named the America East Rookie of the Week (12/19) after scoring a season-high 21 points in just his second collegiate game at Loyola (Md.).
  • Reached double-digits in scoring in seven different contests.
  • Also had 19-point performances at Maine and New Hampshire.
  • Handed out a season-high four assists versus Hartford.
  • Drilled a season-best four treys at Maine and was a perfect 3-for-3 at Bryant and against New Hampshire.


BACKGROUND: 

  • Was a three-year varsity player at Monument Mountain in Great Barrington.
  • Also played one season at Vermont Academy...He holds the school record for most triple-doubles in a season and total triple-doubles at Monument Mountain.
  • Broke the school single game scoring record with 45 points as a sophomore at Monument Mountain..
  • also had a 38 point, 19 rebound, 11 assist game in three quarters of play as a junior at Monument Mountain.
  • also lettered in soccer, finishing as the team’s second leading scorer.
  • the son of Casey Mazeralle, he has three siblings, Destiny, Emanuel and Imani.
  • Lists his favorite pro team as the Los Angeles Lakers and favorite athlete as Kobe Bryant.
