2015: Did not appear in a game for the Retrievers in 2015... Named to America East Commissioners' Honor Roll.

2014: Pinch hit in two games for the Retrievers, picking up his first career hit with a double against America East rival Stony Brook on May 9 at Alumni Field… Also received an at-bat against league newcomer UMass Lowell on April 26… Named to the America East Honor Roll.

2013: Named the team’s Unsung Hero at the UMBC Varsity Athletics Banquet… Played in two games, making plate appearances against Maine on Apr. 13 and May 17.

2012: Played in one game, going 0-for-1 against Buffalo at home on Mar. 14.

Background: Played for Catonsville High School and coach Rob Hambor... As a senior in 2011 he was named to the Baltimore County All-Division Second Team after winning First Team honors in 2010... Named to the Baltimore County All-Academic squad as both a junior and a senior... Also lettered in football for the Comets... Earned All-Division recognition as both a junior and senior in football.

Personal: Son of Robert, Sr. and Patricia Hopp... Majoring in Environmental Science... Chose UMBC over Towson for the academic programs... Born Jan. 13, 1993.
