Biography

2017: Appeared in 12 games, starting nine games for the Retrievers in 2017... Finished the year with a 5-3 record and a 6.46 ERA... Threw 46 innings with 26 strikeouts... Struck out a season high five batters in back to back starts against George Mason and Delaware... He went 5.1 and 5.2 innings in each game, respectively, giving up only two runs and one earned run in each game, respectively... Started and threw 4.2 innings of one run ball in the America East Championship... Had his best outing in a 5-2 win against UMass Lowell in April... In the game, he started and went five innings while only allowing one earned run and striking out four to earn the win. 

Background: Was a two-time Washington County Pitcher of the Year, and three time Washington County Baseball All-County selection… Earned All-State honors his senior season while also being named Independent Parochial School League Male Student Athlete of the Year and earning a trip to the Brooks Robinson All-Star Game for the top 30 players in Maryland… Also lettered in basketball at St. James High School.

Personal: Son of Steve and Christie Wilson… Has three siblings; Megan, Nathan and Hope… Plans on majoring in environmental sciences… Chose UMBC over Eastern Shore… Lists favorite pro team as Washington Nationals and favorite food as steak.
