Biography

2015: Made nine appearances and three starts for the Retrievers in his senior season... Finished the season with a 2-1 record and a 2.91 ERA in 21.2 innings pitched... Gave up 21 hits and eight runs, seven earned, fanning eight batters while issuing nine walks... Threw seven innings, giving up one hit in a 5-0 win against UMES in May... Capped his career in the America East Championship game, throwing one inning of relief, striking out one... Named to America East Commissioners' Honor Roll.

2014: Made 12 appearances for the Retrievers, all coming out of the bullpen… Tossed 14.1 innings, recording six strikeouts…  Earned his second career save on April 2 after throwing two shutout innings against in-state rival UMES at Alumni Field… Gave up just one hit in the outing, while striking out one as well… Worked 2.0 innings in three straight appearances (Navy – March 27; UMES – April 2; at Binghamton – April 6)… Named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2013: Posted a team-best 2.78 earned run average (ERA) while going 4-2 as a sophomore… His four wins tied for the most of the team with Jon Cohn… Made 22 total appearances for UMBC, starting three games… Held the opponent scoreless in 11 outings, including five straight from March 16-24… Recorded his first career save by working the eighth and ninth innings as UMBC defeated Georgetown, 6-5, at Alumni Field on May 14… Started and worked a season-high six innings to earn the win over UMES on May 8… Recognized on the America East Honor Roll.

2012: Pitched in 14 games, making two starts, and compiling 30 innings of work as a freshman for UMBC... Threw two scoreless innings at Tulane on Mar. 23... Threw four innings or more three times during the season... Recorded 12 K's on the year and struck out a season-best two batters during two outings. 

Background: Named the MVP of the 2011 New Jersey Morris County Tournament, where he went 3-0, including a win in the final game against the defending state champions, Randolph... Named the 2011 Roxbury High School Co-MVP... Earned First Team All-Morris County honors from the New Jersey Star Ledger... Selected to the First Team All-Area by the Daily Record... Selected to play in the New Jersey All Star Games on the 25-man team from Northern New Jersey... As a senior, he went 8-1, recording 1.5 strikeouts per inning.
