2021: Had a breakout season in his first year with the Retrievers… Played in 42 games with a team-best 47 hits, seven doubles, two triples, eight home runs and 29 runs batted in for a .346 average… Slugged .603, tops on the team… Had a ten-game hit streak from March 7 through April 3… Started the season with two hits and two runs scored in the season opener… Hit his first home run of the season the next game, part of a three multi-hit stretch in four games… Had a home run in three of the four games against NJIT in early May… Drove in six runs against Binghamton on April 23, going 3-5 from the plate with a home run and two doubles.

Background: A transfer from Lackawanna College… Won an Inter-AC (Inter-Academic League) Championship in 2016 at Springdale Chestnut Hill Academy… Was named First Team All-Inter-AC in 2016 and 2017… Won a regional and super-regional title during the 2019 season… During the 2016 season, had a career-best day going 3-4 from the plate with a double, four RBI and the game-tying home run… Also lettered in golf in high school earning All-Inter-AC Second Team honors… Son of Marisa Diaz… Has one sibling, Christian… Favorite pro team is the Philadelphia Eagles and favorite movie is Step Brothers… Likes to play video games when not playing baseball.
