Biography

2021: Played in 34 games in the outfield for the Retrievers in 2021… Collected 14 hits in 53 at-bats with 15 runs scored, three doubles, one triple, and seven RBI… Went 1-1 in the season opener with a double… Had a two-hit game against George Mason with three runs scored… Had a hit in three straight games against UAlbany in early April.

2020: Played in six games during the year… Had four at-bats with one stolen base and two walks… Made his season debut off the bench against Charlotte on February 22… The next day he had a stolen base and drew a walk in an 11-6 loss.

2019: Appeared in 36 games in the outfield, collecting 14 hits for a .206 batting average with 10 runs scored… Smashed one home run and four doubles with 10 RBI for a .309 slugging percentage… Opened the season with a 3-4 game with a double and home run in a 12-0 win against UNC Asheville, helping him earn America East Rookie of the Week honors… Had a four-game hit steak in mid-March with two games having multiple hits.

Background: Named to the Washington Post All-Met Second Team, First Team PBR All-State and 3A/2A MVP during his time at Damascus High School… As a senior, he batted .517 with a 1.103 slugging percentage in 58 at bats with 30 hits and nine home runs… Also played football.

Personal: Son of Troy and Caroline Wentzlaff… Has one sibling, Logan… Plans on majoring in business management… Favorite pro team is the Los Angeles Angels and favorite food is tacos.
