2014: Appeared 20 times out of the bullpen for the Retrievers, recording the first two saves of his career… Worked 27.0 innings during the year, striking out a staff-best 33 batters and allowing just 26 hits… Held opponents to a .245 batting average… Earned his first career save by tossing 1.2 innings to complete UMBC’s 3-0 shutout of local rival Coppin State on April 16 at Joe Cannon Stadium… Struck out four batters in a 1.2-inning outing against the Eagles on April 23 at Alumni Field… Finished the Retrievers’ 4-3 win at Georgetown on May 7 with a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save.
2013: Made eight starts going 1-3 with a 5.10 ERA as a freshman… Pitched three scoreless innings, facing the minimum nine batters in his first career start against Binghamton on March 16… Blanked the Bearcats in a seven-inning, complete game effort in New York on Apr. 21 for his first career win… Struck out a season-high three batters at conference rival Albany on Apr. 27… Held Hartford scoreless over five innings on Apr. 6, but was no-decisioned.
