2017: Appeared in 22 games between first base and the designated hitter, making six starts for the Retrievers in 2017... Hit .269, going 7 for 26 with a double... Drove in four runners and scored four times... Drew five walks with a .424 on-base percentage... Had a perfect fielding percentage... Went 1-1 with a double, RBI, and run score in a 19-7 win against The Mount in April.

2016: Appeared in 36 games for the Retrievers, making 30 starts in 2016… Hit .206 going 21 for 102 hitting five doubles and four home runs… Scored 15 times, knocking in 12 runs… Drew 11 walks with an on base percentage of .305… went 0 for 1 on stealing bases with a fielding percentage of .956… Drove in three runs in a 3-1 win against Maine in April… During the game he went 1-3 with a home run and scored one run… He had his best game against James Madison in a 13-5 loss in March...During the game he went 2-3 with a home run and driving in two runs along with scoring two runs himself. He also drew a walk in the game… On the mound he appeared in eight games of relief for the Retrievers...He threw 11.2 innings with 6 strikeouts… Pitched 2.2 innings of relief in a 3-2 win against Delaware St… he struck out 3 while giving up 1 hit and 2 walks… His best game on the mound was against Towson in which he picked up the win… Pitched 3 innings of relief in the 4-3 win while striking out 2 and giving up 2 walks and a hit.

2015: Played in 30 games, making 16 starts at first base while also appearing in eight games on the mound... At the plate, he hit .257 with 18 hits, including three doubles and one home run... Scored 15 times and drove in 12 runs... On the hill, he went 1-0 in eight appearances with a 3.97 ERA... Threw 11.1 innings, giving up seven hits and five earned runs with five strikeouts... Had his best offensive performance of the regular season against UMES where he went 2-4 with a double and two runs scored... In the America East Tournament, he had a home run with two RBI in a win against Maine... Named to the America East All-Tournament Team.

2014: Played in 30 games, making 26 starts at first base for the Retrievers as a freshman… Hit .205 in 16 America East contests, driving in six of his 16 RBI against conference foes… Collected his first career multi-hit game with a 2-for-4 effort against league rival Maine on March 27 as UMBC completed its first-ever series win over the Black Bears in 12 innings… Also notched two hits, and drove in two runs, against America East opponent Albany on April 13 as the Retrievers finished off their sweep of the Great Danes in New York… Lifted five sac flies as a rookie while also laying down two sacrifice bunts on the year… Registered a .982 fielding percentage.

Background: A three-time Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) All-Conference Selection… Also an All-Gazette First Team member and Prince George’s All-County honoree as a senior… Played in the Brooks Robinson All-Star Game… Helped lead Bishop McNamara to the WCAC championship in 2012 and 2013.

Personal: Son of Kelly Hax and the late Scott Hax… Has one sister, Jordan Hax, with whom he is very close... Is the stepson of Mark Fell and has two stepsisters, Melissa and Kari Fell… Plans to study business technology administration… Born Dec. 2, 1994.
