Biography

2021: Did not play in 2021.

2020: Made five appearances out of the bullpen for the Retrievers, going 0-1 in 4.2 innings… Struck out two, giving up six hits and seven earned runs… Made his season-debut against Charlotte in the opener, throwing one inning of scoreless ball… Had his longest outing of the season on March 1 against Stetson, throwing 3.0 innings, scattering two hits.

2019: Made 13 appearances with one start during his freshman season with the Retrievers… Threw 20.2 innings giving up 30 hits, 18 earned runs with 17 strikeouts… Made his collegiate debut against UNC Asheville on February 23 throwing two innings with one strikeout… Had his best outing of the year on April 16 against Towson going 2.0 innings of scoreless ball with five strikeouts.

Background: Named Washington County Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-County, and First Team All-Conference as a senior at Boonsboro High School… Helped the Warriors win the state title as a senior.

Personal: Son of Scott and Julie Bare… Has one sister, Ellie… Plans on majoring in mechanical engineering… Chose UMBC over Bucknell, Virginia Tech and Lehigh… Favorite pro team is the Baltimore Orioles and favorite movie as Field of Dreams.
