Biography

2010: Appeared in 46 games, starting 44… Hit a career-high .277 with 39 hits and 20 runs scored and led the Retrievers with a .386 on-base percentage… Recorded 12 multi-hit games… Drove in a career-high three runs against Towson on March 23.

 

2009: Played in 34 games, starting 21… Recorded four multi-hit games, including three against Hartford on April 25… Scored two runs in three games.

 

2008: Played in 19 games, starting one of them in the outfield during his freshman season.  Finished the season with a .059 batting average and six runs scored.  Recorded 11 putouts for the Retrievers.  Went 1-for-1 against Manhattan with one run scored.

 

Background: A two-sport athlete at Howard High School in Ellicott City, Md…. Was named Second-Team All-County in 2007… Was also named the 2005 National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) Batting Champion after going 9-for-13 (.692) in the 2005 World Series… Was part of the 2002 NABF World Series Championship team… Also lettered in track and field and was the 2007 Howard County indoor pole vault champion… A four-year honor roll student and was also part of the percussion section of the Lion Marching Band… One of two children to Dale and Debra Medairy… Has a sister, Jessalynn (22)… Majoring in chemistry with a minor in secondary education and plans to be a high school chemistry teacher… Born October 10, 1989.
