Accolades: Named to America East Fall 2019 Commissioner’s Honor Roll

2021:

• Played in 18 contests and earned four starts, including starts in both America East playoff games
• Recorded a pair of goals and added three assists for seven points, all career bests   
• Scored one of UMBC’s most important goals of the year, tallying the game-tying goal in the 59’ minute at NJIT on October 29 as part of UMBC’s rally from a 2-0 deficit to a 3-2 playoff-clinching victory
• Hit the nets for UMBC’s lone goal in a 2-1 setback at eventual league champion Vermont on Oct. 2
• Followed up four evenings later by assisting on both goals in the 2-1 overtime victory versus Howard.
• His perfect feed to brother Ryan in the 88’ resulted in the late game-tying strike
• Finished his tenure with 59 games played
• The lone Retriever honored on 2021 Senior Night

2020: (spring 2021)

• Came in as a reserve forward in all eight contests
• Recorded five shots on the campaign, including a pair in the finale at NJIT (4/9)
• Has competed in 41 contests in three seasons as a Retriever

2019:

• Competed in 13 games and started the opener vs. Incarnate Word
• Scored in the late stages of UMBC’s 5-1 win over LIU (9/14)  

2018: Played in 20 games, starting seven of those contests during his rookie season in Baltimore… He scored one goal with two assists for four points with his long goal coming as a game winner… He scored the game winner against Temple in the first game of the year… Followed that up with an assist in back-to-back games against Rutgers and College of Charleston.

Background: Was a two-time Pennsylvania State Champion at Lower Dauphin High School in 2016 and 2017… Named United Soccer Coaches All-American this past fall, as well as earning All-Region honors the past two seasons… Earned Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association Male Player of the Year honors in 2017 as well as being named to the PSCA All-State team twice… Owns the school record for career goals (103), career assists (35) and goals in a single season (41)… Helped his team to a pair of state championships, going undefeated in 2016.

Personal: Son of Dawn and Bill Becher… Has one younger brother, Ryan… Chose UMBC over Penn State and Lehigh… Favorite pro side is West Ham United and favorite food is mac and cheese.
