2014-15:  Led UMBC in rebounding in the first two contests... Blocked first three shots of the season and dished out career best four assists at Minnesota on Nov. 22... Rejected season-high four shots at GW on Dec. 4... Started for the first time since Nov. 22 and scored season-high 13 points vs. Longwood on Dec. 14... Game at Kennesaw State was a homecoming for Houston, who grew up in Mays, Ga., approximately 27 miles from Kennesaw... Approximately 40 family members and friends attended the game and Houston responded with two dunks and a trey in four attempts from the floor... Was 24-of-35 (68.6%) in the last eight games of 2014... Had eight steals in the two-game set at UML (Feb. 5) and UNH (Feb. 7)... Posted season high with 10 caroms and posted first double-double of the season, adding 10 points, at Hartford on Feb. 17... Recorded season high five steals and posted back-to-back double figures’ games with 10 points vs. Maine on Feb. 21... Tied season high in finale, with 13 points at Binghamton... Finished the season third in AE in blocked shots per game (1.2), fourth (tied with Jourdan Grant) in steals (1.6) and tenth in rebounds (4.9)...Fell one steal shy (49) of moving into a tie for tenth place on UMBC single-season steals chart.

2013-14:  Finished fifth in America East with 1.5 steals per game, seventh in blocked shots with 1.0 per game and tenth with 1.6 offensive caroms per game... Had 27 steals in 15 league games to date, leading America East with 1.80 per outing... UMBC was 3-0 when Houston records 10 or more caroms… Earned the start in the season opener and contributed five rebounds at Arizona State... Stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, eight caroms, four steals and three blocked shots vs. Eastern... Posted his first double-double with 11 points and a game-high (and team season-best) 14 rebounds vs. Mt. St. Mary’s on Nov. 17... The 14 caroms is the most for a Retriever since Chase Plummer had 14 at Norfolk State in December of 2012... Rejected season-high four shots and procured four steals vs. Loyola... Fouled out in 31 minutes of play... Hit three treys and tallied 11 points at Towson on Nov. 26... Secured a game-best 12 caroms in the win over Navy on Dec. 30... Played his best collegiate game to date with season-topping 19 points and six steals in 44 minutes at Albany on Jan. 8... Hit season-best seven field goals and tied top mark with three treys... Suffered lower body injury versus Hartford and did not dress at Binghamton... Came off the bench and blocked a team season-high five shots at Maine... The five rejections was the most since Cavell Johnson blocked five versus Stony Brook on March 8, 2008.

Background: Averaged 12.8 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per contest last season at Chattahoochee Tech in Marietta (Ga.)… Blocked 2.9 shots per outing and was ranked ninth in the nation in that category… Opened CT’s playoff run with a 25-point, 14-rebound effort in a win over Waycross… CT ended the 2012-13 campaign at No. 14 in the nation with a record of 26-4… Prepped at Mays High School and averaged 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.2 steals a game as a senior… The Defensive Player of the Year for the Raiders as they reached the Class AAAA championship game in 2010… Very interested in UMBC’s renowned program in interactive entertainment and game development… Enjoys seafood… Son of Angela Houston… Born July 11, 1993.
