Biography

2023: Repeated as First Team All-America East and All-Academic Team...College Sports Communicators 2023 Academic All-District® Volleyball team...Tied for the team lead in kills with 288..Reached double figures in kills 19 times, including 14 straight at on point...Tallied 20+ kills twice...Had 23 kills in 4 sets against High Point...Had 21 kills on .410 hitting with a season-best 8 digs in the win over Seton Hall...Had a career-high 68 blocks...Tallied 10 kills on .350 hitting in the America East Championship

2022: Named First Team All-America East, All-America East Championship Team, and All-Academic Team....Took on an important role at outside hitter appearing in all 26 matches and starting 25…  More than doubled her season high kills, putting away 381 and 3.81 kills per set placing her second on the America East kills list… Had an impressive America East Championship series with 14 kills against Bryant in the semifinal matchup and 10 kills with five blocks in the America East Championship game vs New Hampshire. Had 27 kills and 16 digs (.364 hitting) against Delaware and then followed that up with a a school-record 32 kills (.303 hitting) against JMU the following week.

Fall 2021: Appeared in 16 matches, making four starts....Had 13 kills in just four sets at American...Had 11 kills at TCU in first start of the season...Added 12 kills off the bench against Nicholls State...Picked up seven kills and four blocks in he sweep of George Washington...Had seven kills and three digs at New Hampshire.

Spring 2021: Appeared in four matches with two starts...Made both of her starts as a middle on March 22nd against NJIT and New Hampshire...Had 15 kills and a career-high six blocks against NJIT...Collected 10 kills on .474 hitting with two blocks and a dig against New Hampshire.

2019:  Named to the 2019 America East All-Rookie team... Earned America East Rookie of the Week Nods on November 5th... Appeared in 22 matches and 78 sets this season... Started 12 of those matches... Led the Retrievers with 244 points... Recorded 221 kills and 88 digs... Averaged 2.83 kills per set... Set s career-high 22 kills in her first match for the Retrievers... Hit a season-best .457 in that game... Had 21 kills for the Dawgs against George Mason... Had a double-double against Coppin with 14 kills, and 13 digs... Ended the season with four double-digit kill games... Sixth in the America East with 2.95 kills per set. Named to both the UMBC Invitational All-Tournament Team and Retriever Challenge All-Tournament Team.

Background: Helped high school team to state tournament in 2017...Was 400m state champion in track and field in 2015...Member of National Honor Society

Personal: Daughter of Osman and Celinda Conteh...Has one sibling Santigie....Father played football in college, while mother played tennis....Plans to major in Business Management with a career ambition of being a marketer for a clothing or merchandise company in Seoul, South Korea.
