Biography

2014: Ivana has played 23 of 25 matches this year, starting in all those matches... Recorded a career best ten kills against Coppin State on September 19... Recorded six blocks twice, ending up with 57 total blocks on the year... Finished 2014 with 91 kills, hitting at a .151 clip.

2013: Played in 17 total sets in seven matches for the Retrievers during her freshman season… Recorded 17 kills and turned away 11 total blocks a rookie… Started her college career with two kills on five swings in UMBC’s season-opener against SEC foe Ole Miss at the GW/Nike Invitational… Registered a season-high three winners the next day against George Washington… Set a career-high with four blocks against GW… Saw action in four conference matches, recording a season-best three winners at Providence on Nov. 15 as the Retrievers swept the Friars to clinch a spot in the America East Championships.

Background: Led her team to several championship tournaments during her last three years playing in Serbia… Took third-place at the 2012 Championships of Serbia as well as the Championships of Belgrade… In 2010 her team placed third at the Serbian tournament and second at the Belgrade championships.

Personal: Daughter of Goran and Snezana Kostic… Has one sibling, Stefan… Plans to study economics… Born Apr. 25, 1994.
