Biography

2011: Appeared in 15 games at midfield… Started five of the first six contests of the season… Placed two of her four shots on the year on goal… Recorded two shots versus St. Joseph’s… Named to the America East Honor Roll.

2010: Served as team co-captain… Started 13 of the 14 games in which she played… Scored her first career goal in the season opener… It was the game-winner in the Retrievers’ 4-1 victory over DelawareState… Took three shots against the Hornets… Recorded five shots on the season, including three on goal.

  

2009: Started 12 of the first 13 games of the season before an injury ended her sophomore campaign… Recorded her first career point, an assist against Vermont on a goal that gave UMBC a 4-3 lead… Took five shots on the season, including four on goal… Was recognized on the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

 

2008: Started eight of the first nine games of the season before an injury ended her rookie campaign… Took six shots, including two on goal… Earned recognition on the America East Honor Roll.

 

Background: A three-time First-Team All-Conference honoree… An NSCAA/adidas High School Scholar All-American in 2008… The 2007 Southern Maryland Athletic Conference Player of the Year… Also earned Second-Team All-State and team MVP that year… Led her club team, the McLean Freedom, to a regional and national championship in 2007 and to the Virginia State Cup title in 2008… Was a club teammate of current Retriever Aly Gazarek... A five-year member of the Maryland ODP team, which won the national championship in 2006… Also lettered in lacrosse in high school… An honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society… Daughter of Cathy Jo and Richard Edgar… Has an older brother, Richard, who played soccer at George Mason University and was a member of the U-17 National Team… Born Sept. 19, 1990… A biology major who hopes to become a physician’s assistant.
