Biography

2005: Saw action in 16 games for the Retrievers, starting 13…did not score a goal in four shots…helped anchor the Retrievers’ defense...served as team co-captain.

2004: Started all 18 games for the Retrievers…ranked fifth on the team in points (4) and goals (2)…scored the game-winning goal 39 seconds into overtime to give UMBC a 3-2 victory over Marist.

2003: Saw action in 13 games for the Retrievers and started nine…was fourth on the team in both goals (2) and points (4)…scored her first collegiate goal in UMBC’s 3-0 blanking of Albany.

2002: Took a medical red-shirt and did not play for the Retrievers.

Background: Was a four-time MVP of her high school team and a conference all-star for three years...captained her team for three years…led Gloucester to the regional semifinals twice…also lettered in basketball and track...chose UMBC over Albany and Tri-State…daughter of Jack and Susan Day...full name is Elizabeth Day…is the fourth of five children…has one brother, Matthew, and three sisters, Heather, Abby and Anna…born on May 16, 1984...majoring in social work.
