Biography

2005: Received a medical red-shirt for an ACL injury...served as team co-captain...was named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2004: Started all 18 games in goal for the Retrievers, registering more than 1,550 minutes…was an All-America East Honorable Mention…ranked seventh in the conference in shutouts per game (0.17), ninth in goals-against average (1.56) and saves per game (4.39) and 10th in save percentage (.745)…had a season-high seven saves in the first game of the season against Rider and equaled that mark twice, against Mount St. Mary’s and Northeastern…recorded her first shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Howard and continued her scoreless streak in a 2-0 victory over Mount St. Mary’s…streak reached nearly 215 minutes spanning parts of four games…had three shutouts on the season…tallied 79 saves on the season while allowing only 27 goals.

2003: Started every game in the net for UMBC…was named to the America East All-Conference Second Team…ranked third in the conference in shutouts per game (0.44) and save percentage (.780), fifth in saves per game (5.29) and sixth in goals-against average (1.49)…registered a career-high 11 saves against Maine, then bettered the mark a month later with 12 against Navy…recorded three consecutive shutouts against Howard, Albany and Vermont to start the month of October…scoreless streak eventually reached nearly 415 minutes spanning parts of five games…had five shutouts on the season…tallied a career-high 85 saves on the season while allowing only 24 goals.

2002: Started every game for more than 1,400 minutes of playing time...allowed only 31 goals while making 72 saves and recording three shutouts…registered the first shutout of her career in a 1-0 win over Delaware…had a season-high nine saves against Central Connecticut.

Background: Only surrendered four goals for the entire 2001-02 winter season, posting 11 shutouts and leading her team to a 15-0 record...was a Toronto Star Athlete of the Week in 2000...also captained her high school’s field hockey (‘01) and volleyball (‘00, ‘02) teams, and was the golf team and flag football MVP in 2000...in 1996, she received the Great Goalie Award in an all-boys soccer league…enjoys snowboarding, rollerblading and playing pond hockey…daughter of George and Pauline Babaris...her older brother, Alex, is a Canadian National Level swimmer…her uncle, Peter Muller, played tight end for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League…born on Sept. 15, 1983...majoring in mechanical engineering.
