AS A FRESHMAN (2008-09): The Retrievers’ third-leading scorer, averaging 9.3 points per game… Also ranked second on the team in assists (63)… Ranked 12th in the America East in free throw percentage (.727) and 21st in scoring… Ranked third in the league in scoring among freshmen… Ranked fifth all-time among UMBC freshmen in free throws (72), seventh in scoring, ninth in field goals attempted (263) and 10th in assists and free throw attempts (99)… Named America East Rookie of the Week two weeks in a row (Weeks 2-3)… Earned the award on Nov. 24 after averaging 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 steals and shooting 54.5 percent (18-for-33) against George Mason, Northern Illinois and Seton Hall… Made a school-record 16 (of 22) free throws against Northern Illinois (Nov. 21), the highest mark in the conference during the season… Scored a career-high 28 points in just 28 minutes against the Huskies… Named to the Seton Hall Basketball Classic All-Tournament Team after averaging 21.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 2.5 apg and 2.0 spg and shooting 50 percent (13-for-26) from the floor in two games against Northern Illinois and Seton Hall (Nov. 21-22)… Garnered the conference’s top rookie nod again on Dec. 1 after averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists and shooting 56.5 percent (13-for-23) against Western Michigan and UMES at the Iona Thanksgiving Classic (Nov. 29-30)… Also named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player… Finished just shy of a triple-double with 14 points, seven rebounds and nine assists against UMES (Nov. 30)… Scored in double figures 13 times, including six straight games from Nov. 19-30… Averaged 18.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg and 4.0 apg during that stretch… Tied her career high with 28 points on 9-of-17 shooting and 10-of-12 from the foul line in the regular-season finale against Boston U. (March 4)… Recorded four 20-point performances on the season… Played in all 30 games and made two starts (Feb. 28, March 4)… Named America East Player of the Game twice – at Maine (Feb. 15) and against Boston U. (March 4)… Was recognized on the America East Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-time All-County, All-District and All-Tournament selection and a three-time All-Region honoree… The 2008 Blount County Player of the Year and Blount Today Player of the Year… Also earned All-State honors as a senior… The second all-time leading scorer in Heritage High School history with more than 1,900 career points… Averaged 20.9 points, 4.0 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game during her senior season… Helped lead the Mountaineers to the regular-season District 4AAA title in 2008, when she was named league MVP… Garnered Prep Extra First-Team accolades in 2008 and Second-Team nods in 2007… Named MVP of the 2008 Bearden Classic… Tabbed Player of the Week on a number of occasions by several different organizations… Named one of the top 25 prospects in the state of Tennessee by Tennessee Hoops Magazine… Averaged 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals as a junior… A member of the National Honor Society who was one of the top 25 students in her graduating class.
