AS A JUNIOR (2007-08): The Retrievers’ third-leading scorer with 10.8 points per game and the third-leading rebounder with 4.2 rebounds per game… Shot 45.7 percent from the floor, UMBC’s top mark of the season and the America East’s ninth-best… The 12th-leading scorer in the America East, but ranked seventh in conference games with 12.8 ppg … Shot 46.6 percent from the floor against conference opponents, ranking ninth in the league, and led the Retrievers with 5.5 rpg in America East games… Shot a team-best 36.7 percent from 3-point range in America East games, ranking sixth in the conference… Her 28 three-pointers on the season are tied for the sixth-most ever by a Retriever junior… Saw action in all 30 games with 15 starts… Scored 26 points on two occasions, the second-best performance by a Retriever on the season… Also connected on 10 field goals twice, tied for the top UMBC mark on the year… Averaged 14.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in the 13 games after moving into the starting lineup for good at Albany on Jan. 22… Named America East Player of the Game five times (Nov. 11 vs. Rider, Jan. 30 at Boston U., Feb. 13 at Stony Brook, Feb. 16 at Binghamton, March 8 vs. Hartford)… Led the Retrievers in scoring five times and in rebounding nine times… Made her first career start against Mount St. Mary’s (Nov. 24) and grabbed five boards… Tied her then-season high with 14 points against Towson (Dec. 19), shooting 6-for-9 from the floor… Played all 40 minutes for the first time while starting in place of an injured Morgan Hatten at Albany (Jan. 22)… Scored a then-career-high 21 points on 7-of-14 field goals and a career-best 6-of-7 free throws at Boston University (Jan. 30) … Dished out a career-high five assists to go along with 15 points against Maine (Feb. 9)… Scored a career-high 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting and posted career bests with nine rebounds and three steals at Stony Brook (Feb. 13)… Scored 24 points in the second half and combined with Carlee Cassidy to score 35 of UMBC’s 38 second-half points… Averaged a team-best 17.2 points per game during the six games from Jan. 30-Feb. 16, but had her double-figure scoring streak snapped against Albany (Feb. 20)… Finished the season on a strong note, averaging 20.7 points and 5.7 rebounds and shooting .595 (25-for-42) from the floor, including .615 from 3-point range (8-for-13) over the final three games of the season… Came one rebound away from her first career double-double with 18 points and nine boards against Boston U. (March 5)… Equaled her career high with 26 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-4 from long distance in the regular-season finale against Hartford (March 8)… Also tied her career high with five assists and added six rebounds and two steals against the Hawks… Scored 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting in the America East quarterfinal game against Boston U… Played all 40 minutes on six occasions.
AT SEMINOLE STATE (2005-07): Selected to the All-Conference and All-Division first teams as a sophomore, and was named to the All-Tournament team as well… Also earned NJCAA Region II second team honors that year… Led the Belles to the 2007 Bi-State West Conference title… Averaged 12.2 points and 6.2 rebounds with 44 steals and 112 assists while committing only 67 turnovers as a sophomore… Shot 44.4 percent from the floor, including 38.5 percent from three-point range that year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Led Choctaw Central to two consecutive 3A state championships… Scored 17 points in the semifinals and 18 in the title game as a senior… The Lady Warriors won 31 straight games to close the season and finished with a 37-1 record and ranked No. 1 in the state in the Associated Press Top 10 that year… Scored 23 points in the title game as a junior, when her team finished with a 36-2 record… Played in the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Classic and the Mississippi High School All-Star Game… An Honor Roll student.
PERSONAL: The oldest of three children to Barbara Lewis… Has a younger brother, Dominique, and a younger sister, Vanessa… Chose UMBC over Mercer and Alaska-Anchorage… Born Aug. 13, 1987… A sociology major who hopes to become a guidance counselor.
