AS A JUNIOR (2006-07): Scored in double figures in 18 of 33 games on the season and finished the year averaging 9.6 ppg, ranking fourth on the team and 18th in the America East… Was on of two Retrievers to start all 33 games… Hit 20 straight free throws before missing one against Binghamton (Feb. 14)… Hit 33 of 35 free throws (94.3 percent) in the regular season but missed two of four against Stony Brook in the America East quarterfinals… Finished the season with a .902 free-throw percentage (37-for-41)… Ranked second in the conference and 89th in the NCAA with 2.06 3-pointers per game… Her 68 3-pointers on the season are the second-most ever among Retriever juniors and rank fourth all-time in a season at UMBC… Her 206 3-point attempts are also the second-most ever among juniors and rank third all-time in a season… Hit at least one triple in all but three games with multiple three’s in 24 contests… Named America East Player of the Week on Jan. 2 after averaging 19.0 ppg, drilling nine (of 18) 3-pointers and shooting 56.5 percent (13-for-23) at the Battle at the Border Holiday Tournament (Dec. 28-29)… Scored a career-high 18 points in a career-best 38 minutes against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, shooting 7-for-13 from the field, including 3-for-8 from long distance, then topped that performance the next night with 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting, with all of her field goals and attempts coming from beyond the arc… The six 3-pointers are a career high and the most for a Retriever since Ana Goncharova drilled nine in January 2005… Named to the Battle at the Border All-Tournament Team… Also sunk four three’s at Vermont (Feb. 20) and totaled 18 points in the game… Scored 16 points in two out of three games to start December, at Fairleigh Dickinson (Dec. 2) and Longwood (Dec. 9)… Was held scoreless (0-for-9) at Albany (Jan. 10), snapping her five-game double-figure streak… Averaged 14.6 ppg and shot 42.9 percent (24-for-56) during that five-game stretch… Raised her career scoring average 2.6 ppg, from 3.9 to 6.5… Grabbed a career-high six rebounds against Stony Brook (Jan. 7)… Dished out a career-high five assists at Rider (Dec. 19)… Picked up her first career block at Boston University (Feb. 4)… Scored six points on two 3-point baskets in 24 minutes against top-seeded Connecticut in the first round of the NCAA Tournament… Shot 35.9 percent from the field and 33.0 percent from 3-point range on the season… Ranked 81st in the nation in 3-point shooting percentage… Won the prestigious America East Conference Sportsmanship Award.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2005-06): Played in 26 games on the year with one start in her home state of Indiana… Averaged 4.1 ppg, leading all bench players in the scoring column… Shot 40.6 percent (26-for-64) from 3-point range, ranking seventh all-time among UMBC sophomores and fourth in the America East conference… Her 26 3-pointers are seventh-most ever by a Retriever sophomore, and her 64 3-point attempts rank ninth… Scored eight points in the America East quarterfinal game against Binghamton, knocking down two 3-point baskets and another field goal… Came off the bench to hit a three-pointer in 10 of 14 conference games, including her last four… Had a streak of five games with six or more points… Drilled 12 3-point baskets during that stretch… Shot 82.4 percent (14-for-17) from the field and 72.7 percent (8-for-11) from 3-point range over a span of three games that started with her return to Indiana against IPFW… Averaged 12.3 ppg with double figures in all three of those games… Tallied 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting against Navy for her third straight double-digit game… In games against IPFW and Butler, went a combined 6-for-8 from outside the arc… Shined in her first start of the year against IPFW with 14 points and four treys… Opened the game with a 3-point attempt, missing the shot, and did not shoot again until the start of the second half, when she failed to miss, going 5-for-5 from the field and 4-for-4 from outside the arc… Scored 11 points in first seven minutes and 14 in the half… Saw significant action in the first two games of the season, scoring seven points against Morgan State and eight against Fairleigh Dickinson in the UMBC Tip-Off Tournament.
AS A FRESHMAN (2004-05): Produced a solid freshman season as a backup point guard until fracturing her hand in practice, forcing her out of the final five games of the season… In the second game of the year, she scored a career-high 13 points against Mount St. Mary’s with two rebounds, three steals and two assists in the contest… The next game she produced 10 points against Morgan State… Earned her first career start against Navy the following game and scored nine points… Played in six conference games, the last against Albany, where she came off the bench for 12 minutes and dished out three assists in the Retrievers’ 69-53 win… Finished the season shooting 31.1 percent (14-for-45) from the floor, including 5-for-19 from outside the arc… Averaged 3.6 ppg and 1.0 rpg.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four years on the varsity team at Avon High School, averaging 13.7 ppg in her career and ranking second in school history with 1,249 points… Set a school record with an .866 career free throw percentage and a .380 3-point percentage… Accumulated 240 career assists and 118 career steals… Was a three-time All-Hendricks County honoree (2002-04), a three-time All-Conference Hoosier Crossroads honoree (2002-04), a 2003 Metro West first-team selection and a 2002 Metro West second-team selection… Named to the Hoosier Basketball Magazine first team… Averaged 16.3 ppg and 5.1 apg as a senior… Led the Orioles to the Hendricks County title as a junior, when she averaged 16.0 points, 3.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds on the season… Set the school’s all-time single-season free throw percentage record at 91.4 percent as a junior… A member of the North/South Reebok All-Star Team… Had just as much success in AAU, winning the 17U state championship in 2003… Went 14-for-14 at the free throw line twice, and once drilled seven 3-pointers in a game… Her career free throw percentage of .866 ranked fourth in the nation… A member of the National Honor Society… Served as FCA president in 2003-04 and was a member for five years… Earned IBCA Academic All-State and ICGSA Honorable Mention Academic All-State accolades.
PERSONAL: One of four children to Steve and Cathy Drabyn… Father is the head girls’ basketball coach at Avon High School… Has two older brothers, Steve and Chris, and a younger sister, Aimee… Steve was an All-Conference basketball player at Belmont University who holds the school’s all-time free throw percentage record, and he is currently an assistant men’s basketball coach at Lees-McRae College… Aimee plays volleyball at Holy Family University… Born Nov. 26, 1985… An interdisciplinary studies major with a focus in communications and exercise physiology.
