Biography
AS A SENIOR (2003-04): Started out the season as a starter but fell into a more comfortable role coming off the bench…played in 26 games on the year…averaged 4.7 ppg and has been spectacular from the free throw line, shooting 95.3 percent, making 41-of-43 attempts...made 23 consecutive free throws before missing her final attempt of the season and only one in the conference tournament game against Northeastern (3-10-04)...went 23-of-23 in conference play from the free throw line...hit a career high in the first meeting against Hartford (1-10-04), coming off the bench to tally 16 points on 4-of-7 shooting and going 7-of-7 from the charity stripe...recorded five double-figure performances on the year...started nine games...had a stellar performance at Radford earlier this season, scoring 10 points and handing out seven assists to pace the Retrievers...played a career-high 42 minutes as the game went into overtime against the Highlanders.
AS A JUNIOR (2002-03): Made 19 appearances and averaged 11.3 minutes per game in her first season in the black and gold…was sensational in her first opportunity for extended playing time against St. Francis (N.Y.) (1/23), scoring 15 points (5-for-7) in 19 minutes of action in the Retrievers’ victory...scored five points and grabbed six rebounds in the victory against Fairleigh Dickinson (2/1)...tied her season-high with six more boards in her next outing at Mount St. Mary’s (2/5)...scored five points and had five rebounds in a victory at Central Connecticut State (2/10)...Scored eight points (3-for-6) in the win against Robert Morris (2/15)...Had six points and six rebounds in the victory against St. Francis (Pa.) (2/18).
AT ARIZONA WESTERN COLLEGE (2001-02): Helped lead Arizona Western College (Yuma, AZ) to the ACCAC and NJCAA Region I Championship...the Matadors finished with a 32-3 overall record, and the #8 ranking in the final NJCAA poll.
AT BACONE C.C. (2000-01): In her freshman year at Bacone C.C. (Okla.) she led the Oklahoma Bi-State league in assists...Bacone won 17 games in the Oklahoma Bi-State league.
HIGH SCHOOL: Helped lead Americana to a pair of Sao Paulo State Championships during her career...Junior team won the South American Championship in Argentina in 1997 and her Sao Paulo All-Star squad won the Brazilian Championship, which were held in the city of Pindamonhagaba...helped lead her Junior squad to the South American championship held in Chile in 1998 and a 6th place finish in the World Games held in Russia.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Eduardo and Sibeli Santos...born on June 13, 1981...majoring in Economics...enjoys spending time on the computer...lists her favorite movie as Ghost.
