2017: Appeared in 48 games, making 47 starts for the Retrievers in 2017... Hit .333, going 65 for 195 with 16 doubles, three triples, and three home runs on the year... Scored 33 runs while bringing 21 runners... Drew nine walks with an on-base percentage of .367... Went 12 for 14 on stealing bases with a .993 fielding percentage and three outfield assists... Went 4-4 with two doubles in a loss to Binghamton in April... Had his best game of the year against Wake Forest during the NCAA Tournament... During the game, he went 3-4 with two RBI and a home run with a run scored... He was named to All-Tournament Team during the America East Tournament.

2016: Appeared in 44 games for the Retrievers making 43 starts in 2016… Hit .296, going 48 for 162 on the year… Scored 26 times, knocking in 27 runs… Drew 12 walks with an on base percentage of .343… went 7 of 14 stealing bases with a .991 fielding percentage… Drove in two runs in a 6-3 win over stony brook in May, going 3-5 with a double and scored a run… He had his best game against Coppin State in a 12-3 win in March… During the game he went 3-5 with a double, triple, and a home run while also scoring three runs himself. On top of that he also threw one inning of no hit and no run relief. On the mound he appeared in nine games for the retrievers in 2016… He finished with a 2-0 record and a 1.86 ERA… He recorded three saves over the 2016 season… He threw 9.2 innings with seven strikeouts… Pitched 1.1 innings of relief against Umass Lowell in a 7-3 win… He had two strikeouts and earned a save… He had his best day on the mound against Delaware St… During that game he threw 1.1 innings of relief with three strikeouts and earned the win.

2015: Started and played in all 54 games for the Retrievers in the outfield... Along with Kevin Lachance (SS), one of two players to play every game at the same position... Hit .315 on the year with a team high 64 hits, 13 of which were doubles, one triple and two home runs... Scored 36 runs, while driving in 42, the most on the team... Stole 11 bases and had a .969 fielding percentage... Had 15 multi-hit games, including three in the America East Tournament... Reached base safely in eight straight games to start the season... Had a three hit game against the Citadel in March, driving in two runs with one triple... Went 3-5 in the America East Championship with one RBI, one double and two runs scored... Named to the America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team... Named to America East Honor Roll.

2014: Started and played in all 46 games for UMBC in centerfield… One of three Retrievers (Vince Corbi – 2B; Kevin Lachance – SS) to start every game at the same position… Selected to the America East All-Rookie Team… Hit .264 for the season while leading the team in hits (47)… Scored 27 runs, the second-highest total on the team, while also stealing ten bases… Smashed three home runs as a rookie, including an inside-the-park home run on the final weekend of the season at Maine… Registered a 14-game hit streak from March 23-April 13, hitting .322 (19-for-59) over that time… The streak, along with classmate Hunter Dolshun’s 14-game streak, matched the longest in program history since 2008… Was named the America East Rookie of the Week on April 14… Batted .281 in conference play, connecting for two of his home runs against America East pitching… Collected ten multi-hit games on the year, including a three-hit game on April 9 against Delaware State… Named to the America East Honor Roll.

Background: Named the 2013 Connecticut State Player of the Year…Served as team captain for New Canaan High as a senior… Named to the Preseason All-State First Team by ESPN HS… An All-Fairfield County Interscholastic Conference (FCIAC) selection as a shortstop in 2011 while also earning an honorable mention by the New Haven Register… Selected to the All-FCIAC Team as a centerfielder as a junior… Helped lead the Rams to the Class L State Finals for the first time in 42 years.

Personal: Son of Louis and Cathy Casali… Has two brothers, Curt and Chase… His father played football at Columbia while his brother, Curt, is currently playing for the Tampa Bay Ray's… Majoring in Economics… Born June 19, 1995.
