Biography

Accolades: (2012) Named to the league’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the fall… Also earned UMBC Semester Academic (3.50 gpa) honors… (2013) Named to UMBC Dean’s List (3.75 gpa) in both the spring and fall semesters... Selected to America East Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll (2014) Also earned Dean's List recognition in the spring semester... Selected to America East All-Academic Team.  

2015: Played and started in all 20 games for the Retrievers during his senior season... Tied for second on the team with four goals scored, adding six assists for 14 points... Scored a goal against Central Arkansas in a 5-0 victory... Had assists in games against Oakland, George Washington, George Mason, Albany, and UMass Lowell... Scored a beautiful bending goal to tie New Hampshire, just seconds after the Wildcats scored the go ahead goal... Added goals against Binghamton and Vermont... Earned a spot on the America East All-Conference Second Team and All-Academic Team.

2014: Appeared in all 25 contests for the Retrievers, including 20 starts... Has three assists on the year which came against Sacred Heart, UMass Lowell, and Vermont... Scored twice against the Catamounts, including the game's first goal on Nov. 1 and an insurance marker in the 3-1 victory in the league semifinals. 

2013: Competed in 15 games and earned one start in his sophomore campaign… Started for an injured Pete Caringi III at UMass Lowell and scored the game’s first and (game-winning) goal… Headed in a Jordan Becker cross in the 23’ in the 2-0 victory… Played 90 minutes in that contest and recorded three shots… Also took three attempts in a 51-minute stint four days later versus Stony Brook… Competed for 51 minutes in NCAA Tournament contest versus UConn. 

2012: In his freshman campaign, competed in 20 contests and started a pair… His two starts occurred in the first two games of the campaign vs. Radford and VCU… Played a season-high 64 minutes in the opener vs. the Highlanders…. Scored his first collegiate goal in the 7-1 rout of Hartford on Oct. 24… Attempted a team-high five shots in 43 minutes of action in the America East title game vs. UNH… Saw action in both NCAA Tournament contests and recorded a total of three shots vs. ODU and UNC.

Background: Majoring in physics… His Livingston U-19 team finished its most recent season at 19-1-4… Captained the Inverkeithing squad and also was a Scotland Schools’ squad member that captured the Centenary Shield with a 1-0 victory over England…Competed for the Fife U-16 and U-18 squads… Captained the older group and led squad to the national finals… Also competed in cross country and track & field, excelling in the 100 meters and triple jump competitions… Considered other Division I institutions, but selected UMBC for its academic offerings… Lists favorite professional sides as Manchester United and Barcelona… A fan of the trilogy of the “Bourne” action films and The Da Vinci Code… Has one younger sister, Olivia, who is 19… Son of Ilona and Peter Scott… Born June 3, 1993.
